What's on the Ballot?

The city of Alamogordo is proposing the construction of a brand-new natatorium to replace the aging outdoor pool.

This state-of-the-art facility will provide year-round swimming opportunities, supporting both community wellness and school swim teams. Make sure to cast your vote and have your say on the natatorium proposal!

What's a Natatorium? A natatorium is just a fancy word for an indoor swimming pool complex, where people can swim, exercise, or enjoy water activities all year round, no matter the weather!

What's a

Natatorium?

A natatorium is just a fancy word for an indoor swimming pool complex, where people can swim, exercise, or enjoy water activities all year round, no matter the weather!

Why a New Natatorium?

The current pool, built in 1995, is nearing the end of its lifespan and needs extensive repairs. Issues include cracked pool walls, corrosion, uneven water levels, and more. The city is considering two proposed options for the new facility: a traditional brick-and-mortar building or a modern, energy-efficient Sprung structure. The new facility will also feature year-round indoor swimming, pool party spaces, and accessibility features.

who Will Benefit from the New Natatorium?

Anyone and everyone!

The new natatorium is designed to benefit all community members, from toddlers to senior citizens. School swim teams, recreational swimmers, and those seeking water-based exercise will all enjoy the new facility, which will be available year-round regardless of weather conditions and ability.

What's the Catch?

There’s gotta be a catch, right? Wrong!

We’ve worked hard to ensure the new facility will NOT raise Alamogordo resident’s taxes! Funding for the facility has been previously sourced and won’t require any new funding! This allows Alamogordo to get a great, much needed, new indoor pool without the bill!
